Roasted buckwheat

Had anything crispy today? For everyone who loves that extra portion of crunch in their food, roasted buckwheat is the perfect all-round topping. It tastes especially nutty aromatic and is nice and crispy. This especially nutty aromatic and popular pseudocereal can be sprinkled over sweet or savoury dishes in no time at all. It can also be used to make porridges (Kasha). The shelled buckwheat is roasted by Rapunzel and packed directly afterwards. Buckwheat is a pseudo-cereal. Pseudo, because despite its name it is not a cereal at all, but a knotweed plant. It is the ideal alternative to cereals. Buckwheat's lush flowering is a great food provider for bees.

Usage
With its delicious taste crispy roasted buckwheat will enhance muesli, salads, soups, yoghurt, fruit salads, vegetable dishes and much more. Direct from the bag ? just sprinkle them on and get crunching! The roasted pseudo-cereal can also be prepared as an aromatic buckwheat porridge, also known as kasha, both sweet and savoury.

Preparation Instructions
Recipe for buckwheat porridge (kasha): Rinse the buckwheat, bring 1 part buckwheat with 2 parts water, milk or milk alternative to a boil and simmer gently for approx. 10-15 minutes with the lid on.
