Demeter and Rapunzel - cooperation for highest standards 

Rapunzel has been a Demeter partner since May 2004

Our products, which are cultivated according to biodynamic guidelines, are the result of many years of intensive preparatory work. This is why we are particularly pleased with the selected range, which we have been able to realise with our partners from various cultivation projects. In an unprecedented co-brand strategy, Demeter guarantees the consumer biodynamic quality, while the manufacturer vouches for careful processing with its name. In Germany, around 1,787 farmers grow their produce biodynamically on more than 114,018 hectares of land. The new Demeter e. V. also includes the representatives of around 345 Demeter processors and 487 partners in wholesale, specialised trade and chain-store retail (status: 2023).

Demeter – the brand of biodynamic farming

Demeter stands for products of biodynamic farming, which is the most sustainable form of land management, and also ensures that the humus layer continuously grows. This is verified by independent research that has analysed the differences between conventional, organic and biodynamic farming for more than 20 years.

The Demeter community is globally represented, and its products are cultivated according to the highest quality standards across the value chain, from production, to processing and right up to trade. Self-produced, subtle-material preparations, made from manure, medicinal plants and minerals, sustainably promote soil fertility in biodynamic agriculture and fully develop the food’s characteristic flavour.

Demeter farmers have been cultivating their fields biodynamically since 1924, making Demeter the oldest organic association in Germany.
